Based in Salt Lake City, Zachary Proctor is an accomplished contemporary artist whose work has been exhibited, collected, and celebrated throughout the United States and beyond.

Zach approaches painting with extraordinary discipline. Like an accomplished musician or professional athlete, he has devoted countless hours to refining his craft—studying, practicing, experimenting, and continually pursuing a higher standard in his work.

That pursuit has not always been uninterrupted. Zach’s journey has included periods when cancer made it impossible for him to paint and, at times, threatened his life. Through remarkable medical care and the support of the art community, friends, and family, he has continued to create and to approach both his work and his life with an uncommon sense of purpose.

At the center of that life is his wife, Claire, the love of his life, and their children, Walter and Violet. They are an enduring source of joy, perspective, and inspiration.
